Students in the Information Technology Systems program will focus on information systems as they relate to the world of technology. Students will focus on technologies that will provide them with the skills needed to pursue careers in the Information Technology industry as network administrators, computer technicians, and programmers. Students will utilize the nationally certified CiscoTM curriculum via the Cisco Networking Academy and will have hands-on training in the repair and troubleshooting of current computer hardware as well as extensive lab work with the latest industry networking equipment. In addition, students will be introduced to the elements and structure of computer game development as well as programming and creating games. This IT program of study is designed to provide students with a quality curriculum and instruction, which will develop their critical IT analytical thinking skills. Students can earn college credit from Nevada colleges and universities. Students will also be offered opportunities to test for nationally recognized industry certifications
